by TREAD DIAMETER or by INTERNAL DIAMETER
Prices and specifications are those ruling on 1 January 2013, and are expected to remain unchanged in 2018, subject to correction of any errors
or oversights by me.
So far prices have only been adjusted on Jan 1st of each year.
Before making any payment please enquire first for availability and cost of delivery.
VAT does not apply (small business, not registered).
These castings are NOT expected to be strong enough to be gripped from the centre only when turning
the tread. Castings should be gripped by their shoulders, or in the later stages between discs each side of the tyre.
See Turning suggestions.
CUTTING TOOLS: lathe tools with replaceable tips having a small tip radius are ideal for most metals - but on cast iron they can produce a hard shiny
surface and crumbling at the edges. I have had no problems with sharp pointed (roughing) carbide tipped tools.
