Suitable for the Gauge 3 Society 2010 recommended minimum tyre width of 6.8 mm, or the earlier standard of 8.0 mm.
For locos with leading wheels having oval spokes use X31 instead of X34. In that case the tread/overlap is ½″ less, so machine the tread dia at
1 inch less, (4′ 0″ instead of 4′ 1″), and scales at 54.0 mm. dia.
