Walk 1b, Gt. Yeldham - Dyers End - Toppesfield

From Stambourne Road go right just past Weybridge Farm

Go ahead towards Pettyfield Wood.

Go left at the way marking post.

Aim for the gap at the bottom of the hill.

Go to the end of the field with the hedge on your right.

Go to the end of the field with the ditch on your right.

At the end of the field go right, then left over the stile.

Go across the meadow to the gate.

Follow the track towards the road.

Pass the Pill Box on your right.

At Dyer's End, Stambourne. Leave by the stile or gate.

From the Yeldham Road enter the drive of 'Ashfield'

Go left across the lawn to the gap in the hedge.

Go straight up the hill.

or (2) Leave the Finchingfield Road by the concrete footpath sign.

(2) Go up the hill beside the fence.

(2) Cross the bridge into a small field.

(2) View towards the far top corner.

(2) Cross into a large field.

View from Elms Farm Lane towards a corner of the hedge.

Looking down hill towards Berwick Hall Wood.

Berwick Hall Wood on the right.

Go up the hill then left round the farm yard.

Go to the road and turn left.

Park Lane, Toppesfield

Go right past Chapel House then left down Church Lane

In Toppesfield go left and down Church Lane

Church Lane becomes a hardened by-way

Church Lane

Go left through the gap then sharp right to the corner

After going left at the corner go shortly ahead, then right

Through this gap, over the bridge and left

Follow the path beside Brickyard Field

Keep ahead past this path joining from the left

Leave Brickyard Field, then go left and right

Leave Smiths Field through the gap ahead.

Go ahead to the steps or right to Whitlock Drive

The exit to Whitlock Drive. Then go left to the High Street.

Go ahead down the steps then cross the High Street.

Go left, then right over the bridge to the Village Green.
