The Small Blue, Cupido minimus.

Colonies are found where the food plant, Kidney Vetch grows on chalky soils. That includes Magog Down near Cambridge where they have recently reappeared.

The Small Blue has only one main brood per year, with the adults on the wing from late May to early July.
