HABITATS LIST

Totternhoe Knolls and Quarry, Totternhoe, Beds. A chalk hill and disused chalk quarry preserved for wild life. There is free parking at a small National Trust car park with overflow on the verges outside. It is easy to miss the car park entrance. Coming from Dunstable it is on the right, just past a green bus shelter and has a small sign in the hedge opposite.

27 May 2012. Quarry. 9 Small Blues, 1 Dingy Skipper, 1 Green Hairstreak, 3 Small Heaths, 1 Orange Tip and 1 Small Tortoiseshell.
9 June 2012. Quarry. 1 Large Skipper, 1 rather old Brimstone, 52 Small Blues and 3 Small Heaths.
9 June 2013. Knolls. 3 Dingy Skippers, 1 Large White, 1 Common Blue.
9 June 2013. Quarry. 2 Dingy Skippers, 7 Small Blues, 2 Small Heaths.
