This is the oldest Cottage Garden Society in the Country, formed in 1854 (see History), it has run continuously since then with just two small breaks.
ACTIVITIES:
The Annual Show held each year on the second Saturday after the School term has started in September.
There are classes for Cut Flowers, Fruit and Vegetables, Floral Art, Craft, Domestic Economy (Cooking), Photography and Children's entries. Show schedules (free) are printed in the spring.

The plant stall held in May on the village green. Donated plants of all sorts may be found here as well as bought-in bedding plants.

The School Sunflower competition, from seeds provided to the school and judged in September to find the tallest in each class.

In Oct 2009 we held a Gardeners' Question Time evening in the Reading Room.

Coach outings.

We visited Springfields Gardens, Spalding in April 2009, and the Cambridge Botanic Gardens on June 27th.


MEMBERSHIP:
New members are welcome.
Subscriptions for the year to 30 September 2010 are £3.00 each (or £5.00 for couples).

Benefits include reduced ticket prices for outings, events etc. and free entry to the 2010 Show, 11 Sept 2010 at St Andrews School.
