This is the oldest Cottage Garden Society in the Country, formed in 1854 (see History), it has run continuously since then with just two small breaks.

ACTIVITIES:

The Annual Show held each year.
There are classes for Cut Flowers, Fruit and Vegetables, Floral Art, Craft, Domestic Economy (Cooking), Photography and Children's entries. Show schedules (free) are printed in the spring.

The plant stall held in May on the village green. Donated plants of all sorts may be found here as well as bought-in bedding plants.

The School Sunflower competition, from seeds provided to the school and judged in September to find the tallest in each class.

Coach outings. We aim for at least 2 coach outings a year to places of interest to our members, see the programme below for this year's list.


MEMBERSHIP:
New members are welcome.
Subscriptions for the year to 30 September 2015 are £3.50 each (or £6.00 for couples).

Benefits include entry to member only events such as open gardens, discounted fees for trips and talks, and monthly newsletters detailing upcoming events.
