HABITATS LIST
WHITECROSS GREEN WOOD
BUTTERFLY GALLERY

Whitecross Green Wood, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
A reserve of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.
Free public access with free car parking. There is no roadside notice. Turn off the road opposite to a small thatched cottage, go through two gates into the car park just inside the the wood.
The rides are managed as hay meadows to remove early summer foliage and reduce the soil nutrients. This also removes all the taller flowering plants, including those which may have been food plants for the Wood Whites, which lay their eggs on various vetches.
