Twywell Hills and Dales Nature Reserve, Northamptonshire.

135 acres of calcarious grassland and woodland including the overgrown remains of quarries for limestone and ironstone. Managed by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with the East Northamptonshire Council and the Rockingham Forest Trust.
Free access, free parking. Just off the A14 at junction 11.

Personal sightings:

11 July 2013. Hot, light breeze. Marbled Whites, 4 in Picnic Meadow, 6 in Whitestones.
27 August 2013. Hot, sunny. 1 Clouded Yellow in the central meadow by the path to Whitestones.
13 May 2014. Brief gap between showers. SP9477. Far end of Whitestones. 2 Dingy Skippers, 1 Small Copper, 1 Common Blue.
22 Aug 2014. Whitestones. 1 Brown Argus, 2 Common Blues, 3 Meadow Browns.
