HABITATS LIST
GOSFIELD, south-east of the airfield
MAIN GALLERY

Gosfield, Essex. This is a field north west of Gosfield village with access from Meadway. There is a public footpath along its south side from the Hedingham Road towards the golf course. There is also (in 2014) consent from the owner for the public to walk across the field from Meadway towards the old airfield. An old information board by the meadway entrance states that this is an area of set-aside land under MAFF, and is (or was) part of the Countryside Access Scheme. It does not now appear on the current web site of Natural England as an area of permissive access (in 2014).

Unfortunately in 2022 the site was lost to housing development.
